@jogam
ill get a ps4 but not until later next year probably. i typically buy all the consoles. that said im getting an X1 first. reasons.....
1. games. i am more impressed with the x1 line up than ps4's. i want forza, dead rising 3, halo 5, titanfall, ryse, and im curious about insomniacs new game sunset overdrive. other non exclusive titles would be bf4, cod ghost, dragon age 3, destiny, and the witcher 3. half of those games are exclusive though and gam...
@Golden
agree. the price will hurt it with the average consumer
@minato
certain features wont work in certain territories at launch but thats not an unsual thing. its happened before.
and trading/renting games isnt a big deal to some. i never trade games in and ive rented like 2 games in 2 years. neither of those bother me, neither does the drm or online requirement. the price is the only thing that even mildly plays a factor...
different people, different opinions. it has nothing to do with being stubborn, they just arent bothered with any of its restrictions like myself
agreed, these articles are growing tiresome. i used to love n4g, now it seems the only news they post is xbone vs ps4. fanboys flood the comments and actual news has disappeared. we get it, the INTERNET doesnt like x1, now lets pre-order our ps4s and move on. no need to dwell on it
i think once the x1 is out there and people realize how it works and its not as bad as the internet would make it seem, sales will pick up from word of mouth. i wouldnt count MS out yet. there is also still more than enough interest in the console from others such as myself to help spread positive word about it to people in real life, assuming it turns out to be a good console which im certain it will.
overall i think there is still too much confusion even with that page on x...
@outside
thats one platform and thats one outlet, you still got craigslist, ebay, gamestops, best buy, etc all those places likely have many copies too
150 on ebay for 360 too. i can guarantee you most people will sell used at gamestop because of it being easiest. they likely have thousands with more being added everyday
no it wont. there's a ton of people who dont care to hang onto games regardless of how good they are
example, theres 31 used copies of bioshock inifinite on amazon right now for 360 alone. many people dont hang onto a game unless its got mp hence the rush of so many devs to add useless mp to their games.
i disagree. its less about restricting and more about being necessary to implement the features they wanted too.
for example, playing your entire library from the cloud and discless gaming. the only way to do those things is all digital. if they dont do drm then it would be impossible to do those things because it would be so easy to pirate anything.
examples:
1. im playing a game, i decide i want to play another game. instead of getting up, ...
finally someone who gets it! i thoought i was alone on this site lol. the drm doesnt bother me any, niether does the always on or internet connection.
could care less about used games
could care less about lending games to friends ( more often than not they have never returned or ruined them anyway, now i wont feel bad when i need to say no )
could care less about check in since they have a failsafe with the phone
could care less if they spy on me, tha...
The witcher 2 made Skyrim look like crap lol but in all fairness, they are so different I'm not sure its a fair comparison. Fantasy setting, action RPG, those are common grounds bur game play mechanics are wildly different and meant to be that way
@aibreeze
i dont really care how well either of them do sales wise. im pro both systems i do prefer the x1 though, find one article where i hate on ps4.....
you cant lol im glad for sony and the success of the ps4 but i would also like to see the x1 just as successful. the two competing have done nothing but make each better and better. wishing one exits the market is childish fanboy crap. neither would be what they are today without the other.
just gonna say the same thing. i didnt even know they had locations still lol
well in order for that the base of that future to begin somebody has to take the first steps too, hated for it or not. MS did that before with braodband only on the original xbox. people hated them for it but look what it did for live.
then in order to keep xbl improving, they kept the subscription rate despite the competition offering free or sub based and for years its pissed people off. but look what that resulted in, xbl on 360 is wonderful and full of features like cross...
disagree, i think the internet is up in arms but a good majority of the people arent that putt off by it. a rather large portion of my friends and myself are still very excited for the x1 despite knowing all of the drm restrictions and higher price point. im ready for the all digital change myself. a few months ago i was pissed about it but thinking about how i listen to music or watch movies today, its all digital for me. im okay with giving my games library the same chance. X1 looks awesome...
haha poor english means you contradict yourself in that statement. i think you meant
"bye microsoft, welcome sony"
the way you wrote it your getting both not trolling ms which i assume like most, is what you meant to do
Or maybe some people just like what they see and dont believe any of these concerns are nearly as big a deal as everyone is making them out to be. For examples.....
1. DRM on all games. Is it great,no but there are benefits. Discless games, cloud gaming for any of my titles. Sharing with family, playing my entire library from any Xbox without carrying around 20 disc. Downfalls, servers go out, I'm sol but I can't remember a time Xbox was ever out for 24 hrs or more. M...
solid list. FFXV actually bored me to death. i was wanting it to end lol
i would be inclined to add dark souls 2 to that list though
edit*
i meant add DS2 to the list of the top lol that was the best trailer. DS is beast!
well you can also share any game at anytime with your family members too. up to ten and they can access your shared library anywhere.
so for example, two brothers in one home each have an x1, only one needs to buy a game because they both can play it at anytime. its right on microsofts website. you also only need one gold account per household. thats pretty sweet
i am curious how they are going to determine your family though
X1 gets forza lol nobody cares, which is better is a matter of opinion but its pretty much a fact that they are comparable. i prefer forza myself
This^^^
I dont think anyone on here actually reads carefully and they are trying to spin what major nelson said. The owner of the game can play anytime and simultaneously 1 family member at any given time. This feature absolutely trounces the ps4.
and at the same time the other 8 member can try it when its not being used. Much in the same way you would just lend a disc. The only difference is those people can be 3000 miles away and still borrow your game. An...
